BIOGRAPHY

Six in Town was formed in Seva (Osona) at the end of 2012 with the only objective of bringing rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll back to society.

Jordi Pons (former member of 'V59') first initiated the project. He wanted to keep playing, experiencing and feeling in his strings the rhythms of the 50’s and 60’s - one of the most remarkable periods of time in the history of music. He decided to contact Jordi Gost, an old friend and really talented guitarist, for extra help in giving shape to this idea.

Their first step was to post an online ad with the purpose of finding a singer. And they found it. His name is Sergi Hervàs, from Tarragona who, despite having been in rock bands  ('The Alones' and  'The Furthermores'), had never taken a rockabilly train. Nonetheless, he accepted this musical proposal and pulled out his microphone, once again.

They were 3 already: two guitarrists and a voice. However they needed someone to play the song's heartbeat and someone to become the spine of their rythms.

Joan Puigrodon, an experienced musician with a long musical career, is the name of the person who decided to bring the rockabilly heartbeat in the band with his great and loyal friends, the drums.

A few months afterwards, Billy 'the Kid' -a rock 'n' roll veteran with over 40 years of showmanship- appeared. With his unmistakable feel on bass, the project had realized its true form.

Since then, Six in Town have been traveling back to the 50's and 60's, as well as feeling, experiencing and working with the finest and most pure rockabilly music in order to give their all during their performances.

In October 2013, one year after their creation, Six in Town released their first album, The First Rockin': a collection of 10 songs in high sound quality, which was recorded and edited by the band in Mas Fontanelles (Seva).

Two years and a half later, in april 2016, they released their second album, called 'The King of Satisfaction".
